Kicker Brandon McManus booted off Wasihngton Commanders amid sexual assault lawsuit
Kicker Brandon McManus has been released by the Washington Commanders in the wake of two women suing him for allegedly sexually assaulting them on a trans-Atlantic flight.
Two women, who were working as flight attendants on the Jacksonville Jaguars' September 28 flight to London, allege in a lawsuit filed in civil court that McManus, 32, tried to kiss one of them and grinded and rubbed up against both of them while they were trying to work.
One of the women further claimed that McManus 'smirked and walked away' after she confronted him about his actions and that the Jaguars failed to provide a safe environment for staff on the flight.
They are now seeking in excess of $1million in damages, according to court documents.
The Jaguars won both of their games in England, first against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley, then the Buffalo Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, respectively on October 1 and October 8.

Revealed: Lead counsel in Brandon McManus sexual assault case also represented women accusing fellow NFL star Deshaun Watson of similar crimes in 2021
On Sunday, a statement was released by McManus' attorney Brett R. Gallaway, in which the kicker reaffirmed his innocence.
'We reiterate that the allegations against Brandon are and remain absolutely false and importantly, are contradicted by indisputable evidence and the accusers' own prior inconsistent statements and omissions,' Gallaway said.
'While we are disappointed with the team's decision to release Brandon before he had the opportunity to defend against these fabricated claims, we will aggressively defend and clear Brandon's name and reputation through the legal process.
'We intend to defeat these claims, fully exonerate him and look forward to seeing him back on the field where he belongs.'

The women are being represented by attorney Tony Buzbee, who also worked for many of Deshaun Watson's sexual misconduct accusers.
Buzbee said on Instagram that his team attempted, 'without success,' to settle the matter with McManus out of court before resorting to the lawsuit.
McManus signed a one-year, $3.6m deal with Washington in March after playing last season, his 10th in the NFL, with Jacksonville.
The Commanders and Jaguars earlier in the week each said they were looking into the situation.
